Patch management2017-12-18T02:00:42-05:00

Could you please advise if Genians NAC can do patch management functinality. I mean is it possible to push the missing patches from the Genians NAC, or it is only providing a list of the available patches, and another integration with a 3rd party patch management system is required to push the patches.

Also regarding the agent, we noticed that the agent is not starting when we restart the machine. Could you please advise.

Best regards

Yes, Genian NAC supports patching of Windows devices using the Agent.
Policy Server pulls down the latest Windows updates periodically to allow you to build a Policy using the “Update Windows” Agent Action.
Go to Policy > Policy > Node Policy > Agent Action > Windows Update > Tasks > Create
ID: <SomeName>
Select Products: (*Select which Operating Systems you want to update)
Select Classifications: (*Critical Updates, Service Packs, Feature Packs, Security Updates and more)

You can manage the Windows Patches by going to Management > Node > Finding and clicking on a Windows Device with Agent installed.
Go to the Windows Update tab, and there you will see the latest updates and patches it received.
