UNH-IOL and GENIANS Announce Partnership to Validate Genian Network Access Control (NAC) Solution to the IoT Era

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab (UNH-IOL), an independent provider of broad-based testing and standards conformance services for the networking industry, and GENIANS, the leading provider of network security and management solutions, today announced a strategic joint research and development (R&D) partnership. Through industrial collaboration, we will be devoted to improving the usability and interoperability of Geni Networks’ Network Access Control (Genian NAC) solution for global customers.

Recently, the UNH-IOL team completed a usability study on the Genian NAC with great success and found the Genian NAC to be very powerful, easy to use, and with many configuration options and data views.

“I am glad to hear that the UNH-IOL team successfully evaluated our Genian NAC with many positive feedbacks. We have been working with industry leaders like UNH-IOL to enhance our solution as well as IT & network managers – especially working in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) around the world to understand their needs. Now, we are almost ready to present the most versatile and capable NAC solution to global markets,” said Kye-Yeon Kim, CEO of GENIANS.

Additional testing and future collaboration will focus on IoT interoperability use cases along with meeting the IPv6 requirements. These efforts will drive compliance, visibility and control for the next generation networks.

“The UNH-IOL is looking forward to growing our relationship with GENIANS by utilizing our expansive infrastructure and years of experience in network testing. We are excited to collaborate on future projects and work together to improve securing networks worldwide in the BYOD and IoT era,” says Erica Johnson, director of UNH-IOL.

GENIANS will unveil the global edition of Genian NAC at RSA 2016 (Booth# S1541), which has been tailored for businesses of all sizes from enterprise through SMB.
