Genians and Seceon to Extend Actionable Intelligence to Mitigate Cyber Attacks in the IoT Era

Genians Next-Gen NAC combined with Seceon’s AI-based SIEM will deliver an enhanced cybersecurity stack for managed service security providers

North Andover, Mass. – Mar 4, 2019 – Genians, the industry leader of Next-Gen Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, announced today a technology partnership agreement with Seceon, which pioneered the first fully-automated, real-time cyber threat detection and remediation solution to help Managed Service Providers accelerate their security-as-a-service business models.

This collaborative solution delivers the capabilities needed to detect known and unknown threats through Seceon’s Open Threat Management (OTM) platform enhanced by Genians layer 2-based sensing and Device Platform Intelligence technologies. The resulting cybersecurity stack from Genians and Seceon combines intelligence about all connected devices with threat information in real time. Out of the box, the stack provides the following information:

  • The most accurate device platform identity
  • Contextual access information (Who, What, Where, When, How)
  • Business context related to device platform (e.g. EOL, EOS, Manufacturer Info)
  • Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) for each detected device
  • Anomalies from inside the network Analysis of the security posture of applications, users, and data Known and unknown threat detection and response

In the event that any compromised or non-compliant devices are detected, Genians Next-Gen NAC can immediately lock them down by leveraging multi-layered access controls. As both Genians and Seceons can deliver each of their solutions as a service, the combined stack can also be delivered as a service, which will be beneficial to managed service providers.

“With today’s announcement, two industry leaders that provide next-gen capabilities will reduce MSPs’ burdens by providing flexible deployment options as well as simplified pricing models. In particular, the resulting joint intelligence will encompass the visibility and control from layers 2 to 7 seamlessly to mitigate cyber attacks right on time” said Genians co-founder / CTO Kyeyeon Kim.
