North Andover, Mass. – February 24th, 2020 – Genians, a leader of Next-Gen Network Access Control (NAC) empowered by Device Platform Intelligence (DPI), today announced a strategic technology partnership with Infoblox, the industry leader in secure, cloud-managed network services.
A recent IBM Security Report on ‘security sprawl’ noted that corporate cybersecurity teams use, on average, more than 80 security products from 40 different vendors across their networks. The report also found that teams use less than 20 percent of the features in these tools, which may not provide the outcomes customers expect due to their expensive and complicated integration.
No doubt that the role of NAC with DPI is increasingly critical in the IoT era.
Infoblox and Genians partnered to solve these challenges by maximizing the usage of security events and logs, thereby automating cybersecurity risk mitigation:
- Genians DPI shares in real-time the most accurate platform information of all IP-enabled devices connected to the network and holistically correlates technology-specific software (OS, Patches) with business context (EOL, EOS) and risk-related information (CVE) without disturbing existing IT operations.
- Infoblox shares IP- and DNS-related security alerts with Genians.
- Genians can immediately lockdown any compromised devices and block malicious attacks reported by Infoblox, and can automatically remediate them.
- No additional plugins or licenses are required.
Genians founder and CTO Kyeyeon Kim notes: “Since we introduced DPI, we have received tremendous interest from cybersecurity vendors like Infoblox who want to enhance their visibility and access control at the network edge. They are impressed with the accuracy of our device platform intelligence, as well as other core Genians features. Enforcing security policies against threats and abnormal behaviors occurs most efficiently at the edge, and there is no doubt that the role of NAC with DPI is increasingly critical in the IoT era.”
“Genians has developed a comprehensive platform for NAC that dovetails well with Infoblox DDI and security solutions,” said Dave Barry Sr., Director of Business Development for Security Solutions at Infoblox. “Genians also has a strong presence and reach in Asian security markets, a region where we see tremendous growth potential in the future. Also, we can easily expand into Small and Mid-size Enterprise (SME) through MSSPs as Genians can nicely deliver NAC as a service.”
Together, Infoblox and Genians will continuously collaborate to automate next-level IT security operations and keep network assets safe and secure. Since 2005, Genians Next-Gen NAC has been embraced by over 1,600 customers around the world. This integration will help improve the cyber-defense profile of our customers and partners seeking to deliver comprehensive IT and cybersecurity solutions as a service to their customers.
Genians and Infoblox will showcase the solution at RSA Conference 2020 in San Francisco. Attendees may stop by the conference to learn more about the solution and view a demo.
